ECOBARRIER Panels

ECOBARRIER panels are wood and concrete absorbers, offering an excellent solution for a wide range of noise protection applications. Natural, untreated fresh wood shavings are mixed with cement and water to create a highly absorbent and durable material with outstanding acoustic properties. These panels are suitable for noise protection and wall cladding to reduce sound levels. ECOBARRIER panels are available in a variety of surface textures and color options. They are fully CE-certified, tested in accordance with EN 14388 and EN 14389, and awarded the natureplus® quality label. The ECOBARRIER panel series provides highly effective noise absorption for road, railway, and industrial noise protection.

Inspection of the ECOBARRIER wood and concrete absorbers, carried out in accordance with EN 1793-5 and EN 14389-1/2, has proven that even after more than 100 simulated years of aging, there is no loss of sound absorption performance. Moreover, neither exposure to frost and de-icing salt nor other aging factors result in any significant deterioration of the structural qualities. This has been thoroughly tested and confirmed.

ECOBARRIER panels follow the concept of economic sustainability. The wood shavings are sourced from selected partners in the regional woodworking industry and undergo strict quality control. The result is clear — ECOBARRIER panels are environmentally friendly, durable, and deliver excellent acoustic performance.

ECOBARRIER panels come in standard dimensions of 500 × 250 mm and offer custom combinations of multiple standard textures, providing a wide range of design possibilities. They also give designers access to a broad color palette. The absorbing blocks, available in uniform shades, come in various natural colors, enabling harmonious designs with subtle color gradations. They can be used to create both linear and curved structures.

Installation

The soundproof panels can be mounted onto steel profiles that are securely fixed to the foundation. They can also be installed vertically, with appropriate support provided at both the top and bottom.

Both ends of the soundproof barrier are precisely shaped (male-female) to ensure perfect sound sealing while also enhancing its bending strength. This design allows for the creation of a structurally unified installation composed of multiple panels.
